Our physical condition was not good enough to hike up all the way. The elevator was out of service. They should let the patrons know this via a web post ...daily if it's needed. We did like the natural formation of it.

Went there couple of weeks ago with Friend and kids and I was stunned due to disconnection of that Sky Trail. Sure, the view from Chimney Rock is great, but that is just a Half of the experience what you should get... This used to be a privately owned park till 2006 when I was there last time and could walk... More

We climbed to the top of this massive mountain and enjoyed the incredibly gorgeous views! Be prepared! It is a very strenuous climb! The elevator is out! I would probably not have used it but ...maybe. I am 50 and relatively good shape and had to stop several times to catch my breath. Many had to turn around not anticipating... More

This place is fully equipped. Parking, Food, even elevator to go up. The views are break taking. There are stairs to go up . And explore the Oprah house, and the "Subway" Caves.

$15 a person for entrance into the park seems a bit steep, but the views really are amazing. The elevator was out of order and apparently will be down for a while. They do give a $2 discount for that though. The steps up to Chimney Rock are brand new and sturdy, but there are quite a few of them... More

Took my family here and had a wonderful time. I hiked to Chimney Rock and despite my fear of heights I made it to the top. The elevator is broken so you must take the stairs. You do get a $2.00 discount for the broken elevator. It's beautiful, I exercise on a regular basis so the stairs didn't bother me.... More

This is a must do on your visit to the area. The hike is rigorous but exhilarating. The view at the top is incredible and one I will never forget. The waterfall is simply spectacular! A great way to spend your day and get some exercise in too!

Our goal was to climb the stairs from the gift shop to Exclamation Point. There were 3 of us all over 60. We climbed all the way to the top, checking out each of the numerous side-trails to the subway, grotto, cave, etc, then back to the parking area. Entry to the park was normally $15 per person. The price... More
