This is a very well-kept and very well-informed place. They know all about WNC history, the beginnings of the railroad in the 1800s, the history of the elaborate summer homes from that era, etc. The staff is really interested in local history.

A well arranged museum with knowledgeable Docents. Open Tuesday, Thursday and Sat from 10:00 to 2:00. (Sat's from 10:00-4:00 We live here and visit often.
