Had a good guide who gave some informative information about the horses and the area in general. Was a nice ride and the hummer really maneuvered well in the sand and made off-roading pretty effortless. We saw several horses which were very cool to see...More

We had a great tour with Mike, our guide. We saw many horses on the beach that day and got a tour of some of the 4x4 back roads. It was awesome!

Day we went around 3pm, it was westerly winds so horses were on beach; probably about 25 of them. Very beautiful. Our Guide Stu was very informed and had a great sense humor. Thanks Stu for making my bday a memorable day.

The "catch" is the wild horses, but the experience is much more than that... Riding in a hummer on the beach is cool. Riding past beach houses on the dune "streets" and viewing horses in people's backyards is exciting. Seeing a haram of 5 wild...More

This tour was great for the whole family (3 and 12 year olds up to 70 years). We were a little nervous taking our 3 year old on a 2+hour tour, but he and the other toddlers on board all loved it. You hook your...More

We were lucky to see about 20 wild horses - 4 on the beach. The setting was so peaceful and felt like you went back in time. Great photo ops. Amazing to think that the horses are still around and still wild. It was interesting...More

make it with Wild Horse Adventure Tours. We'd done this tour in 2015 and weren't sure it would be worth the time/money to do a repeat. It was, and then some. This year, our guide was Taco. Like our last guide, he was knowledgable about...More

Been on the tour several times. Highlight of our OBX vacations. Learn something new every year. Ask for The Outlaw Tom. Very passionate about the horses and the wildlife.

I would love to take a tour with a guide that speaks with a New Zealand accent, as I find that much more understandable. Is there a possibility that I could schedule a tour with a Kiwi this season?

The man who was our guide was pure Southern with no hint of Kiwi accent. You might call and see if they can accommodate you.

It may depend on the season. We went the week after Labor Day and were able to make same-day reservations for our preferred time (just 2 in our party & preferred the sunset time). I will note, though, that both hummers were... More

Not that I'm aware of but it may be worthwhile contacting the tour company to see what they say.
