First off, I'm biased as I'm a cousin of Eustace H. Sloop and Mary Martin Sloop so I'm very proud of the work they did and their legacy. The Chapel is beautiful and is graced by the fresco by Ben Long of Jesus with the...More

Fits in to the landscape with beautiful, craftsman details in the stone work. Don't miss the fresco inside: "Suffer the Little Children" that used local people as models. The grey-haired grandma at lower left is a favorite. Part of the North Carolina "fresco trail." Ben...More

This chapel is very peaceful and relaxing. I wish that there had been a brochure for us to read more about it.

This is a highly special place. The Spirit can be felt as soon as you step on its ground. I had a wonderful experience praying here, viewing the fresco, and admiring God's great glory. Go here.

We went to Crossnore particularly to view Ben Long's fresco. My daughter is an art major, so we are always interested in seeing art where we can. This did not disappoint. It is a good-size fresco and very well done. My daughter was already familiar...More

A beautiful work in a nice setting. The Crossnore School is incredible and it is easy to spend a morning or afternoon at the school. The chapel, the art gallery and the very excellent cafe all provide for a pleasurable experience.
