For people who want a fancy tasting room, this is not your place. But we enjoyed the small family owned atmosphere and nice reds. We chatted with Heidi Hutton about the troubles with deer, changes in growth, etc. In other words it was really about the production of wine and not a sales pitch by someone uninvolved with the actual... I made a point to visit this winery after passing by the entrance 3 or 4 times on prior visits to the area. The entrance is quite nice, but it goes downhill from there. I really wasn't sure where the tasting room was, but saw a couple of ladies sitting under an awning that was attached to what appeared to... More

The signs for this winery out by the street were very nice and kind of lead us to believe that this would be a special winery. There was a nice winery dog outside and when we entered the very small building, you immediately went DOWN stairs to the wine bar. The whole area was open to what would have been... More

The owner met us coming from her house as we drove up. It felt like we were in someone's garage or basement in her remodeled tobacco barn tasting room. Great experience!

This winery was within walking distance of the B&B (The Rockford Inn) my Husband and I visited in May 2015. Some of the people we met on this trip gave us mixed reviews of this winery. We decided to visit anyway since it was literally down the road from the Inn. We are so glad we listened to our guts... More

I have been here twice, both times were disappointing. You come onto the grounds and see a beautiful entrance, then it falls to pieces. The tasting room is a musty smelly cellar with very little room, the wines are not on par with the other vineyards in the area, and the staff is cool and unwelcoming. I felt like they... More

This vineyard was in the middle of a few other so we decided to check it out. It seems to be newer to the market and it shows but has a lot of potential. Dana provided our tasting and she was the highlight of the Venezuelan born but in Italy the last 10 years, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with... More

They had some great examples of typical wines with a few interesting varieties. We found the Viognier and the Cabernet Franc to be stand outs. The owners sister was visiting from Italy and she shared a wonderful recipe for an sweet onion reduction to use on cheese and crackers. We've made it twice for family gatherings to rave reviews. This... More

The tasting room lady was very nice, and she so wanted us to enjoy her wines. But frankly, they weren't good at all. Don't bother!

This estate winery has a huge potential. The property is run down, with the vineyards appearing neglected. After meeting the husband and wife owners, and seeing an aerial photograph of the property and plantings, the potential for this property is amazing. The wine tasting was pleasant with Heide interacting wonderfully with us. The vertical tasting was a nice change, with... More
