What a beautiful area and a very well done museum. We loved it! Came on a rainy day which most of it is inside. The volunteer staff is very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.

Free museum with a large gift shop. The shop offers a 10% military discount. The battlefield is located about 4 miles from the interstate.

We spent time in the museum at Averasboro talking with the staff. While the folks were volunteers , they were very knowledgeable about the battle as well as the battle at Bentonville. The collection at the museum was very good. Well worth the stop

Very well kept cemetery and replicated slave house on property. The museum had many artifacts and great information for Civil War enthusiasts. The last time I visited there was not a museum, so it was great to go again after 20 years.

A group of us were attending a church conference in Dunn, NC, so we decided to sight see around town during our time off. This place was nice, but not much to see, but a lot to learn.
