This is a very nice area. It is a great idea to remember the bravery of others who has paid the ultimate price for freedom. Freedom is not free.

There is just so much to see in DC, you can't see all the memorials in one day. But be prepared to do a hole heap of walking!! I mean a lot! Bring plenty of water for you and your kids.

This is a newer Museum but if you have a chance walk on over there, covers the history of the veterans of North Carolina. And the grounds are very well kept.

Hubby and I stopped on our evacuation from Irma. Amazed, impressed, and emotional. It is a small beautiful and respectful park. We walked into the tail end of an Army retirement ceremony. I'm from a military family. Fayetteville should be very proud of this park!...More

The hours are for the small reception center and restrooms that are located on the grounds. You can walk through and enjoy the outside displays (95% of the park) almost anytime.
