We visited The Challenge in Graham last Sunday. The staff was professional and courteous. The course needs attention. We did not tee of till 11am, the greens had animal poop on the them and were not maintained well (many dead spots, old divots and insect holes). The tee boxes were not well manicured, spotty weeds and not grassed over well.... More

Gods layout for the most part. There are a couple of chopped up holes that you'll want a second chance at. Conditions are typically average. No driving range but they have a large netted area to hit balls to warm up. Good midpoint for my friends from Greensboro to meet me. Tip: do not buy green fee thru Golf Now... More

The Challenge is a pretty OK golf course that needs some improvement due to financial complications, but their staff always seems to be out there working hard and doing necessary improvements. A couple of the holes are a little iffy, like 18, 9 & 6, but it isn't a bad layout at all (my wife and I are members).. The... More

Had a coupon to play the Challenge, it was only $24 which is pretty good. The course is close to I40, so its easy to get there, I am in wake county and its 45 minutes away. When we played at the end of March the greens had been punched and sanded and a number of the holes had bare... More

The course is well maintained. This course is open to the public with reasonable green fees. The greens are in excellent shape. They were punched and sanded the second week of March 2016. The fairways are starting to green with the warm weather. Last year, all....again...all the piedmont are courses suffered winter kill to the Bermuda grass with both and... More

We played The Challenge on a weekday in August ($22 w/cart on Golf Now). While this course has a nice layout, it is obvious that the maintenance budget is not worthy of the course. Most Fairways were good, others were patchy. Many Tee Boxes were not in good shape. The greens rolled well, but were splotchy and had bare sports.... More

the best thing i can say is that the beer was cheap. As per the person in the pro shop the Bermuda grass fairways had not come in yet (played in middle of April) so we ended up playing off of mud or brown patches were we could. The Greens were ok but the rest of the course was so... More

We played golf here yesterday and found that the greens were in great shape. The course has 5 tee boxes to choose from. There are a good variety of types of holes and the price we paid was very reasonable and included green fees, cart, and a free lunch (hot dog or sandwich, drink, and chips) all for $27.00. It...
