Pretty cool

Cool little adventure that I took my kids on! Definitely have to go with someone who has been on it before because getting lost does happen!

Beautiful trail, well marked most of the way. We brought the ENO hammocks and snacks. Set them up right by the shore with a great view.

This spot is awesome! We took the dogs and drove the 1 hr from New Bern with our lunches in tow. The trail is right along the water and are bathrooms and a picnic area with charcoal grills that you can use that have an AMAZING view of the ocean. There's easy access right down onto the sandy beach too!... More

Day hiked out from the Pine Cliff Recreation Area to Copperhead Landing shelter (3.5 mi.) to meet up with some friends hiking in from Oyster Point. Thought it would be a nice walk with the dog. The trail is clearly marked and with a few exceptions well maintained. There is a short section along the banks of the Neuse where... More

We went from Pine Cliffs to 306, then looped back. Clear, cool day after the rains, so much to see -- beautiful views, lots of cypress and palmetto, lovely, quiet forest. The section on 306 is a slog, but worth it for the rest. I'd suggest doing that part first -- park in the picnic area, then walk the access... More

22 mile trail going thru a variety of coastal swamps and pine forest. Lots of places to camp out. You can hike to whole trail end to end or break it up into shorter sections.

Trail is primitive(the way we like it) and very well marked. You would need to be blind not to see all the blazing on the trail. Some of the trail is pretty new since some trees fell into the water due to erosion of the shore line. Wife took lots of great pictures and had a great time. Don't forget... More

Looking for fall/winter areas to ride my cyclocross bike - found a pretty nice one here. If you are going to ride, pay attention to all the roots, they will sneak up and take you down! The woops were a hoot and the beauty was amazing. Am looking high and low, however, for accurate trail maps and have come up... More

We took a group of scouts to the Neusiok Trail to complete the full 20 miles in one day. We started on the north end and enjoyed wonderful views of the Neuse River for the first few miles. While he trail is clearly marked, there are some other trails that intertwine in the first 2 miles. A map is useful... More
