The kids and adults had so much fun here. We purchased the $60 bucket and it did not disappoint. Heather was really helpful and knowledgeable and helped us identify the different minerals we found. Will definitely come back when we are in the area.

Owner was super nice and walked us through everything. Got lots of cool gems that the owner explained to us. Gave us ideas for rock polishing and if needed was able to crack geods in our pale.

It does vary. We found tube worm tubes, shells and petrified wood. Also: Emeralds, Rubies, geodes, tons of semi-precious stones, smoky quartz, pink quartz, etc.. Really fun for families with kids.

Hello. We do have a stream and occasionally folks look for gems there. We do have great group rates. Give Heather a call and she will take care of you!

Hello! I don't know of any NC gem mines that let you use a pick axe. Maybe Hiddenite but finds are rare. Most people there use backhoes. Good luck with the search.
