Great hike with beautiful views!

We hiked up the gravel trail which was not that exciting but the views were worth it and the rest of the hike definitely made up for it!

Hiked Whiteside Mountain last year, but the views were not as great due to the fog and low clouds. This year was spectacular! The trail is well maintained and allows for several levels of hiking. You can make the loop which goes along the top of the cliffs, but there are sturdy guard fences in the areas close to the... More

We went early in the day, which I highly suggest to get parking and to enjoy without huge crowds. We chose to hike up using the less challenging path and go down the harder one. It was still a nice hike for all of us (2 adults, 2 11 yr old kids). Bring water and enjoy the views!

We loved our hike to the top of Whiteside Mountain! Got there around noon and discovered the main lot was full, so we parked on the side of the road. Once you enter the main lot you will climb the steps up a bit. Then the trail divides. If you want a more manageable hike, take the gravel route on... More

Breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. We enjoyed it and took a lot of pictures. Very curvy mountain roads. We even saw 3 bears on the road not far from there.

Take the rocky path up, it's the longer way up, but allows you to enjoy the view more on the way down.

2 mile loop -- we went up the gravel (left side of the loop). Still a moderate hike. Views from top are fantastic. Went down the steeper side. Would be a difficult hike up that side but we saw families doing it so I'm sure it isn't that bad. Took us about 45 mins to an hour stopping a lot... More

The views at the top are stunning, lots of wildlife and secluded spots to enjoy. The hike is fairly easy and we saw plenty of people with kids and older folks making the trek. Bring water and even a picnic and enjoy, truly a special spot. PS very easy to find as well
