Pinnacle trail offers 360 views including Charlotte on a clear day. Not long, less than 3 miles but a serious climb with some bouldering included. Can get windy up there. Camping is walk-in about 1.5 miles over hilly terrain. Good intro to backpacking. Serious rock climbing in another part of the park.

Very nice place for a relaxing hike. Various trails with different degrees of difficulty. I would recommend going early as to avoid lots of traffic!

We hiked up Crowders as a family - 2 families actually with kids ranging from 6 - 11. It's a beautiful spot and the views from the top are spectacular. The entire hike, including several stops and enjoying the views takes about 3 hours. We took snacks and lots of water - it's a wonderful family outing.

I took some time out of a business trip to visit the park and hike Pinnacle Trail. It as a super challenging hike and was one of the best hikes I had in ages. I certainly felt empowered after making this hike and tackling it to the top! If you need a feeling of accomplishment, take this trail head on!!... More

Since this was our first trip to this 5,126 acre park and we did not have too much time to spend at the park, we went to the Lake Trail. Beautiful! Very enjoyable and easy to walk trail.

Crowders Mountain offers a range of hikes per capability. If you can, tough it out and do the Pinnacle trail. It's marked strenuous and it really is near the top. Once you get to the top, climb over the rocks, just past the signs, and take in a spectacular view. All trails are heavily shaded. Dog friendly.

We had a lovely time camping at the State Park. The hiking is fantastic and challenging and the Park is very dog-friendly! If you are camping, believe them when they say "primitive" and that you have to hike-in - it's not an exaggeration! We were not totally prepared for that, but once we got through the hike and to our... More

One of my favorite places. A great hiking experience all year round. The trails are well marked and well maintained. I never go on the weekends and can't comment on the number of people there at that time. I go two or three days during the week and can say there are very few people on the trails. Very good... There are a few trails to choose from, some strenuous and some easy going. Great views from both peaks.

The park is beautiful and they have canoe rentals which is not happening right now due to the water being low. The bathhouse is clean and they have them placed though out the park. The hiking trails are nice.
