We have just been to too many aquariums (see all my reviews) so we are definitely aquarium snobs. We spent about one hour here including the aquarium inside and paths outside. It was $36 for one adult and two teens. With younger kids, I would definitely rate 4 stars with all the touch pools. With teens, they were a bit... More

excellent facility, better than their sister on treasure isle. Well staffed, great exhibits, good cafe, free parking, nice play at the end. Our 3 year old loved this place.

We recently visited the aquarium for the mermaids from Wikki Wachi show. What fun! Our toddlers and preschoolers were enchanted by the mermaids! The fish, sharks, and other sealife is always fun to watch! The staff at the touch tanks were informative and interacted well with children of all ages. The playground was a nice way to expend energy in... More

Great place to visit. My son didn't know where to go 1st. He was amazed by the jellyfish and seahorses. He thought the alligators were "cool". I enjoyed it as much as he did. We will be back very soon!

Visited with my son who was 2.5 yo at the time. He loved all the animals and had a great time. Alligators and turtles were his favorites. They also have a bald eagle.

We visited the Fort Fisher Aquarium....a first time trip with our two year old grandchild. We took our three girls there growing up. It's always a fun visit, and there is always something new and different to see and experience. The facilities and grounds are neat, clean, and beautifully maintained. The staff and employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. This... More

Very disappointed in the mermaid show in which is the reason we went in the first place. Very over priced and very small. The staff was some what helpful bit not at all what we thought it would be considering the amount of money spent to visit this aquarium. That was the whole reason we planned our vacation at the... We came here with our toddler and infant for a fun day trip while at the beach. I had been once before with our toddler on a weekday in early October and we were the only people here. This time was much different. Apparently there is a mermaid exhibit right now and it was SO crowded. We were able to... More

If you never been in an aquarium before this is a good start. They have a good amount of creatures to see but nothing crazy. The pictures in the ad are misleading compared to what the place really is...simple and basic...good for kids tho.
