The Owners are very personable and welcoming. I learned more about wine in one hour than I had in 35 years of drinking wine! They offer wine tastings, tours, and wine making supplies too. The wines were wide ranging and tasty. I will definitely be back. The Owner is making a batch of Garlic Cooking Wine that I cannot wait... More

Great wine, great people! They even have a warehouse where you can purchase equipment and supplies to make your own wine! And if you are lucky, you will meet the ornery older gentleman who is the father of the winemaker. He is adorable (and a great salesman!).

Bring your picnic snacks, try some wines, then have your picnic on the front porch. Very nice people. Great stories about the area.

Our family stopped here during a stay in a vacation rental while being hurricane refugees. The father and son team love to share their knowledge and passion for wine. This passion was also apparent in their wine. They make a huge range of wine for every taste, and they will help you find that perfect wine for you.

Stopped here while wandering through the area after visiting West Jefferson. So glad we stopped here! Great conversation with the owner as he educated us on wine and food pairings. Great story too behind him and his winery. So many wines to try, and every one so different! We felt very welcomed and enjoyed every minute. Took 2 bottles with... More

We stumbled upon Thistle Meadow Winery and enjoyed a wine tasting. We were fortunate to meet Tom, the founder of the winery. As we left we purchased two bottles of our favorites from our wine tasting.

My family and I have come here quiet a few times over the years. I love seeing how the winery has been updated and grown each time we come. We even timed it one year and were able to attend one of their festivals. This time we brought our two year son and he was getting a little cranky from... More

The winery is close to the Blue Ridge, maybe 10 minutes off the road. It is a very property and the staff will make you feel at home. Very laid back place they welcome you to rome the property with a glass of wine or sit on the patio and just enjoy yourself. We arrived a little before opening, but... More
