Enjoyed looking at the river from various vantage points. From the quiet still waters, to the hard, fast pace rapids and falls , this is truly a wonder of nature the a person will enjoy. Bring a camera to capture exciting shots.

Linville River, in the Pisgah National Forest, was well worth the visit. It was really interesting to look at the rocks and the way they were shaped by water, also to see the level of debris left by the last high water. When we were...More

You can't go wrong! Beauty abounds everywhere you look. A moderately easy hike for those that can't manage the strenuous hikes, but want to see the waterfalls.

We visited in March for spring break. Nice bridge to relax over the river just steps from the parking lot. Walk down the river to the falls is not very difficult or lengthy. I would recommend this for anyone.

We enjoyed the hike and the Linville Falls. We stopped at the first vantage point, and headed back to the lot, since it is about a mile round trip. There are some uneven steps near the vantage point to be careful on.

This is a nice side trip and is beautiful. From the parking area it is .4 of a mile but the trail is up & down. A bad knee was feeling it pretty soon. This was also after a day of heavy rain in the...More
