Went there on a cloudy, early Fall Saturday. It was busy, but not annoyingly. There are several lookouts at the end of a mostly flat paved walkway from the parking lot. This is handicap accessible! Views beyond compare based on the ease of getting there. Other panoramas I have been to are not this easy to access. Access is on... More

Absolutely breath taking, literally, it will! Most beautiful place i have ever seen.Wonderful job of making it easy for someone with difficulty walking. Although the road is rough it is definitely worth the ride.

My husband and I traveled to Wiseman's View on a Sunday Morning. We arrived around 10:30am and did not see many other cars. The road to get back to the view is winding and rough. We were in a Jeep but did see some smaller cars make the drive. There is a short-paved path that takes you back to the overlook.... More

Very windy gravel road that goes forever! Once you get there it is totally worth the trip- you are on top of everything!

My Brother and I traveled up to the Linville area after a tropical storm in the Piedmont of NC. All summer we battled 90+ degree weather with high Humidity. Early morning temps were 65 degrees what a better way to spend a Labor day weekend to the mountains. Like other reviewer's the walk to the View is easy. Handicap accessible.... More

We went on a week day and had the place to ourselves. Several cars passed us on way back. Beautiful views worth the 4 mile dirt road drive to get there. One comment if you fly down the dirt road you don't get to see the scenery and tear up the road quicker. A must see view at the top!

I have been to Wiseman's View many times. I have seen the famous "Brown Mountain Lights" several times at night there, which are these lights that move between Hawksbill Mt. and Table Rock Mt. on the other (West side) of the Gorge. Wiseman's View has a paved parking lot, is wheelchair accessible, and is a fantastic place to hang out.

These vistas are breathtaking! Short walk on paved trail with great rewards in endless vistas! Best views are found climbing over the rails. 4,000 foot cliffs, overlooking the gorge, can hear Linville Falls in the distance! Gravel and bumpy road takes you 3.5 miles deep into the national forest.

A paved trail for easy access. Gorgeous views at the end. Also a great spot for viewing the Brown Mountain Lights! A phenom that will blow your mind.

We had small kids who could not hike so we were looking for panoramic views we could get to via car. This was perfect! You drive up an I paved road for several miles and it's a short easy walk to an amazing view of the Linville Gorge. I would highly recommend.
