We've gone several times. Anytime we have guest visiting we like to take them to Reed Gold mine. Great place for kids to explore and learn about gold mining. It's well worth your time to watch the video before you tour the min and grounds.

Came expecting someone touristy and cheap, left impressed by the care that has been put into maintaining a very interesting place in North Carolina history!
