Take a jacket or raincoat, it's wet and cool down there - but what an experience. Our guide did a great job explaining the different formations and sections, in simple words so my 8 year old grandson paid close attention. Kids even got to touch...More

Really enjoyed our visit to the caverns. Although small, you can't find anything like this in NC. The tour guides were friendly and well versed on the caverns. There is also a lovely picnic spot by the river.

I remember as a small child visiting here and was so impressed I wanted to bring back my grandchildren. They loved it. Pretty cool and damp down inside so bring a light rain jacket with a hood as the water drips on your head. If...More

We enjoyed the interesting cave. It was very neat to see the formations and river running through the underground cave. It was also a good idea since the weather was rainy. A perfect adventure on a not so good weather day

Staff sucks. Caves are boring. Guides are young kids with not much of an idea about the caves or anything. Save your 8.50$ and do something else.

Hi Linda. First of all, weighing 250+ pounds is not that big. Second, rather than people guessing about this topic, I would directly email Linville Caverns (or call them) using the following "Contact Us" information. But I... More

I saw people carrying small dogs as previously state you get into some tight spaces and at one point of the tour you are in total darkness
