Very nice place to visit. They was remodeling so things was not organized well. Interesting things to see. Would like to go back when the remodeling is finished.

We are big Andy fans and were excited to make this unexpected stop while passing through the area. In their defense, they are experiencing growing pains and the exhibits are scattered in about 5 different buildings. Even still, I was disappointed. There really was not much to see. For the most part...see the statue. There was one "window" to look... More

Glad we visited but not much to see with the renovations going on. Happy to help support the local arts community but displays are mostly photos and some costumes. Siamese twin exhibit wasn't interesting to us so this was a short visit. Loved the statue. This would totally bore children and teens. Again glad to support the art community.

My husband and I paid $6 each for the museum. Admittedly they are doing renovations, but I say skip the museum and just go see the statue. There was a couple of outfits and a few posters, but nothing like what I expected. From pictures of other reviewers, it looks like it was better at some point, and hopefully will... More

We had time and decided to pop into this museum. They are undergoing renovation and felt bad but the price didn't go down. So we paid way too much for nothing really. We were very disappointed in the museum even though the people working were so very kind. I kept thinking we had to have missed a room or the... More

Under going renovations on our trip so it would be hard for us to know what we missed. Very nice people working there and seem like very nice people in the town. But the museum doesn't have that much from the Andy Griffin show.

Lots of memories of Andy Griffith and Mayberry. We did find that the price of admission was a bit pricey for what you see, but all in all it was interesting. Almost missed the bronze statue out front!

Aren't museums supposed to contain something, anything, related to their subject(s)? Admittedly, there are actually a handful of items related to Mr. Griffith, but the only item of any quality is the nice sculpture of Andy and Opie outside the museum. Save yourself the ridiculous admission charge of over $6 and take a picture of the sculpture and get out... More

The nice lady behind the desk encouraged us to take our picture in the side car from The Andy Griffith Show episode, "Barney's Motorcycle" (which we did). That was the beginning of a very fun and nostalgic tour of the museum which included several momentos of his childhood (birth certificate, Boy Scout handbook, and high school photo), Andy Griffith Show,... The museum is paired another viewing highlight. Lots of career highlights and memories of Andy Griffith. Very nice. Betty Lynn is also featured in a separate section. She also starred in many movies.

Thank Robin S
