It's an okay place to visit but you will not miss much if you skip it. Mt. Airy trying to capitalize on Andy Griffin but it seems they need more to see and do. Driving folks around in the old cop car is cute but we did not do it, too hot the afternoon we were there. Also did not... More

Visiting with the woman at the Information Center was so interesting. She not only knew all about Andy Griffith, but shared information about other business owners in this quaint little town. It would take a couple of days to visit every site and partake in all the activities this little town has to offer.

This was our first stop when we toured Mt. Airy. It is located right in the middle of downtown Mt. Airy on Main Street. There was a wealth of informative brochures, and the nice lady working there gave us a map and provided us with a lot of useful information to begin our visit. We left with a bag full... More

Great visitor center. Rest rooms can accommodate more than one person at a time. Desk personnel are friendly and very courteous. If we have any questions on a return visit we know where to get answers, the Visitor Center!

The Visitor's Ceneter was a great first stop on our visit to Mt. Airy. We were given maps of the town and were shown on the map where all of the attractions were located. Without this stop first, We probably would have just visited the Andy Griffiths Museum and have lunch at Snappy's. There is more to see, and thanks... More

The layout was not user friendly in that finding info and brochures specific to a need (ie wineries were scattered. ). The lady that gave us the info was singularly focused. She seemed to have a "canned presentation" and with direct questions seemed unsure of how to assist.

We really enjoyed the museum and all the personal and show related items on display. Always enjoyed his acting and music. Great price and a shelf guided tour allows you plenty of time.
