Have passed signs for this location for years while passing thru Candor... finally decided to make the trip. Wife and I rode out on our HD. Beautiful drive out, was an extremely hot day, but the 10% chance of isolated thunderstorms turned out to be...More

We had passed the signs for this location on numerous occasions and finally decided to stop. We were very pleasantly pleased. The park rangers were Historically knowledgeable and very friendly. The museum is intimate and very well done. Well worth the stop!

This is an example of Mississipian culture. Geared to people of all ages. Nature trail as well that we did not visit but the museum is well curated and informative and the site is well maintained and interesting.

The drive from Charlotte was very pleasant. It was warm and the museum building was under construction. The site itself was interesting and there was a short video that described the site. I think had the building been open, it might have been even more...More

I was not aware that there were any mounds in this part of the country, so the site intrigued me. Even though the Visitor's Center in being worked on, Ethan and Jesse provided a wealth of information. I have been to many different mound sites...More
