This is a very nice clean well maintained fishing pier that one feels safe walking out on to fish or sight see. Had no luck catching any fish except a small sand shark. It stays open until 2 in the morning and you fee for...More

What a wonderful time on the pier with my family. Brought back memories of being a little kid walking on the pier at Holden Beach.

My title says it all, $1 to walk onto the pier - give me a break! It's not even an attractive pier, you enter through a tackle shop, pay your $1 and go out. That sit, nothing to see or do unless you fish. It...More

Walked out onto the pier, beautiful views. My son tried to use the scope but could't see out of it, too much sand in the lens. Very quiet and peaceful. Located right next to the motel we stayed at so didn't have to travel.

Enjoyed walking on the pier with our granddaughter, and even got to see a tiger shark that some people caught while we were there. Made our vacation even more memorable.

Taking a walk on the pier is something to do while on Oak Island. It costs a $1 to walk on for the day, and you can see what folks are catching, if anything, and a great view of the beach. If you time it...More

This is our second trip to the pier and we love going during the evening. Very nice and relaxing environment. Worth the time to check it out!

We've been coming to this pier for years now. Rick is a staple and one of the nicest people in the town. Definitely knows and shows his love for oak island. Nice pier to have fun fishing!

The pier is a great place to fish from and for the most part the staff is very friendly. The pier is located near a motel.

What can you say. It is a pier over the ocean. You pay $1 and receive a wrist band that is good from open to close. The pier has some nice bench seats so you can just sit and watch the ocean. If you want...More

They do close the pier so that they may go home but I'm not sure of the time. They also have to clean up a bit for the next day.

From what I have read and been told, I think that only service dogs are allowed on the pier. I am not 100% sure though. I didn't take my dog there when I went.
