Teach's Hole Blackbeard Exhibit is a unique attraction devoted to all things "piratical." Since 1992, the exhibit and its pirate specialty shop have been a favorite destination for families visiting Ocracoke Island. The exhibit features a life-like recreation of Blackbeard, a weapons display, old bottles, original art, a pirate flag display, ship models, and interactive activities. As visitors leave the exhibit, they enter a one of a kind pirate specialty shop. Kids of all ages will enjoy Teach’s Hole!

You pay your $4 to get in (check the local coupon books for any coupons with discounts) and it's a self guided walk through tour. There are a couple of videos that were kinda neat and lots of interesting tidbits about Blackbeard and how he...More

This was our first time here. It’s a very small museum about the history of Blackbeard the pirate. The fee is minimal. We went through it fairly quick but it’s worth seeing at least once. You are allowed pictures inside.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this place. No, the museum isn't elaborate but $4 is nothing and seemed appropriate for what you get. I found all kinds of goodies in the gift shop - a super cool octopus tshirt, octopus ornament,...More

This place is great for adults and for the kids. My family really enjoyed the exhibit that they have. It is very informative and has a lot of neat pieces to look at. Everyone should stop here to gain the knowledge of Blackbeard.

Very interesting to follow blackbeard's path through Ocracoke and North Carolina. There are some artifacts and plenty of pictures.

Not much to the "exhibit." A small hallway without any authentic Blackbeard-related artifacts. More to see in the gift shop, honestly. Really should offer it for free just to get people to visit. I probably would have bought something in the gift shop if I...More

It's a short little museum. Perfect attention length for my 2nd grade son. Price was reasonable, and the gift shop is nice.
