We were awaiting the ferry to Cedar Island and stopped at the visitors center. Very friendly and informative folks. The gift shop had a nice selection of items.

You will find vending machines, super clean rest rooms and helpful staff here. So much different than what was there back in the 70's.

If you're looking for information about the island this is the place to stop. The rangers are very knowledgeable and informative about what is happening on the island. Good ranger programs, clean restrooms etc.
