Neat little place

Been coming here for many years, when it was a general store way back when. It's nothing like it used to be. But I did find a nice flag that I wanted and one of the ladies who... read more

What used to be a General Store in the 1930s has turned into a ticky tacky, nic nacs store for the tourists who visit Ocracoke. Standard T-Shirts, funny signs, stickers, tacky souvenirs with “Ocracoke” or “Alfred Styron’s Store” were plentiful. The woman behind the register was not particularly friendly or helpful or interested in being either. The best thing about... More

I make it a point to visit the A.S.S. store every year to get a new shirt. Last year my wife, son and I were walking around the neighborhood when it started to pour buckets. We ducked into the A.S.S. store to escape the rain and started chatting to the woman that runs the place. She insisted that we borrow... More

Been coming here for many years, when it was a general store way back when. It's nothing like it used to be. But I did find a nice flag that I wanted and one of the ladies who works there went out of her way to take it down for me. Not a lot in there but it was a... More

They have lots of different t-shirts, acfew snacks, drinks and some locally made sauces and sauces. This is a store so if you are expecting more than that you will be dissappointed but we enjoy the local sauces from places we visit so this worked for us.

We made it a point to stop by the store to get a t-shirt and just have a look around since it seemed interesting. The woman behind the register was so grumpy! The store itself is very nice and has many quirky, retro gifts, but once the lady yelled at me because the front door was open (and I hadn't been... More

Although the things sold at this store are like most tourist junk. The owners were extremely nice and were very friendly. The shirts were funny and original. 10/10 would recommend just stopping in here for a quick visit!

We walked a lot during our week in Ocracoke and during one of our long ones, we came across this out-of-the way place that is well-known and has been around a long time! We went inside and found it to be full of great souvenirs to buy! The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. After taking a pic... More

Has neat shirts and souvenirs. Bought a grape nehi and drank it on the porch. Awsome! The owner was nice, not mean at all. Have been going to this store for years and it has always been great. It's a must see if you visit ocracoke.

Don't ruin your stay on the otherwise wonderful island of Ocracoke by having to deal with the mean, rude woman who runs this store and yells at kids and parents alike. She's got the atittude of a French waiter with the merchandise of a Tijuana roadside stand.
