Such a great place to see big cats in comfortable, safe, and expansive areas where they can live out their lives after being rescued. A wonderful experience for anyone visiting the Triangle or even residents! Bring the kids and the in-laws - you'll love it!

We have taken the tour of Carolina Tiger Rescue several times with various family visitors ranging in age from 2-82. It is one of our favorite "go to" places. It is very educational, while also being fun. All of the staff are quite knowledgeable and friendly. You need to be able to walk and stand for a period of 1... More

This is a must-do activity for children and adults alike! A walking tour where you learn much about how each of these animals were rescued as you watch them in natural habitat enclosures. Obviously well cared for, this is a place that deserves your support and is well worth the visit for the 90 minute tour. You'll learn a lot!... More

This non-profit rescue for lions, tigers, cougars, caracals, servals and ocelots. The sad story is that these cats are rescued from terrible conditions where idiots tried to keep them as pets, inexperienced, self appointed zookeepers, unprincipled breeders and people trying to make money with them. While this is not a zoo with expansive acreage for the cats to live in,... More

I toured the CTR recently when my mother-in-law was visiting and we all had a great time. I thought you'd hear a lot about how endangered tigers were and then maybe see a few. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the reserve and how many animals you get to see. We saw tigers, lions, cougars, ocelots, and more... More

Loved visiting here! It was cool to hear about the lives of the different cats they take you to see--you can tell the volunteers there love and are passionate about what they do. Aside from seeing lions outside my car while on safari in South Africa, this was the closest/coolest experience I've had with big--and some little--cats. The ocelots, caracals,... More

A few weeks ago my family and I visited the rescue. All I can say is that I love the fact of just how much love and work goes into this place. Our tour guides (they were married) knew a lot about the animals and told detailed information about all of them. Our tour lasted a little over 2 hours... More

Remarkble endeavor and well worth the time it takes to walk the rescue. The staff is very well informed and clearly passionate about their work. The enterance fee is very reasonable considering great amount of work that goes into maintaining the safe habitat for the animals and the rescue expenses.
