I love this park.. we can go walking... sight seeing.. fishing and playing all in the same trip.. i personally don't like boats.. but you also have boat access... when we go fishing we generally catch a lot of catfish in the first pond... great family place

Took my 2.5 yr old grand daughter to this park while visiting the area. I have to say that it was a real delight. It's a refreshingly beautiful scenery in a nature habitat with a playground to entertain the kids. After playing for a little while in the playground area we ventured off towards the beach area and the fishing... More

This ia a great park for a walk- the expansive lake never disappoints my eye! i live on the wrong side of town to frequent this one more than a couple of times a year. If I lived closer i would be a regular.

We got there early and was able to kayak for an hour for $5 and had a great time on the water. My goddaughter loves the water and is very active so this being my first time kayaking... More

This Lake has been here for over 50 years. It has nice shaded picnic areas and shaded fishing spots. You also can buy a day pass to fish which is reasonable.

The lake is beautiful, but the park staff are extremely rude and disrespectful. The staff has rules on how many can be in a canoe or kayak. The limits are two on a tandem kayak and a max if two in a canoe that clearly states on it a max of 5. Now, I would never put 5 in these... More

This Raleigh City park south of Raleigh is a good sized park. Takes nearly a mile to drive into the main docks and visitor area. They have a snack shop and rent various boats during the summer including paddle boats, kayaks and canoes. There are several docks to walk out on. This is an extensive park with a conference room...
