Stone is justly famous for slab climbing and runouts. What a terrific place. The slab is beautiful and sticky rather than polished (mostly). You have to do the Arch.

Went with my wife and two girls. We walked around five miles. Very easy walk though there were some stairs by stone falls. The weather was great. Looks to have fall leaves next week (first week of Oct.).

From water falls and easy walks to hope you're in shape trails. Stone Mountain has something for everyone. Beautiful picnic areas, walks through rhododendrons forests and open meadows. It's worth a visit. Go here often and never tire of the new discoveries.

I agree with the previous response. I am unaware of a lodge or cabins at Stone Mountain also.
