It was so nice to get out and enjoy a walk around the mountain and a hike to see this big, beautiful Buddha. Unbelievable sight walking up the stairs with all of the carvings and the gong. Bring water for the hiking around; it gets hot and you can get winded quickly from the climb! Really enjoyable.

西樵山好看。如有時間的話,可以去看國藝影視城,因西樵山附近的,五六十年代舊香港街景,相信外國人喜歡看的! Xiqiao Mountain Attractive. Such as the time to do so, go to National Arts Holdings Limited, Because near Xiqiao Mountain, Sixties Old street in Hong Kong, I believe foreigners like to see!

Visit the mountains and enjoy a work around the mountain and visit the old village. Go during the week. It's half price. Weekends are crowded and expensive. Try the Sanshui tofu with caramel syrup.

This is a really cool place to go if you like to relax and take it easy. If you are going, its best to bring some lunch with you as its not always easy to find good grub!

There are several ways to get here from the center of Foshan. We took the #226 bus from Jihua Park. It was about 40 minutes from Jihua. The bus takes you right to where you can buy tickets for the mountain. Getting tickets for the bus service is highly recommended: There is a lot to see, and it is a... More

We were there on the Chinese Year Day. And most visitors are locals, they came to receive blessing from the Goddess of Mercy ( 西樵山南海观音), . The centre of the park is a 61 meters tall bronze Statue of the Goddess Guan Yin, it must be one of the largest in China. The statue is impressive, and is constructed next... More

The place is very well done up. I planned to hike all the way up but bought the tickets for the electric cars as a back up and I was very glad I did. I read people said it was an easy walk. It was but it was hot and humid when i was there and the first bit was... More

This park has a number of 'exhibits' to see and needs at least 3 hours or more to visit. The main attraction is the Big Statue (Mother of Mercy) and the area surrounding and directly below it including descending tiers each with its own set of temples. The views of Foshan and surrounding area are pretty spectacular. But there are... More
