Nice park to walk around

The island is really long, you you`ll need some time to go to the sculpture, but it is great place for relax, but of course as everywhere in china very crowded.

The great and stunning Mao statue!!! Fresh air but no orange seen in winter. Not only the statue but also many beautiful areas to spend time walking around.

It was drizzling that day but my family and I had a good walk. Accessible easily by underground train directly to the island. Indeed it is a nice park. However, one disappointment was that there were several renovation works carried out at the same time hence making us to feel that we did not go at the right time and... More

The main attraction is Mao's statue. There was a long queue for the shuttle train to the statue so it was not worth the wait. Public toilet was under maintenance so we had to use the mobile toilet, condition was really bad beyond description. There was also no water for handwashing.

This island can be busy, they often have a huge lights display in the winter, about 100¥ an adult to enter. But most of the island is quiet and has lots of grass you can walk on. There's are some peaceful places with ponds and buildings with a Chinese look. The Mao ze Dong statue is at the end of... More

This beautiful park in the middle of the city, and of a river, is a must visit. The monument to Chairman Mao is stupendous. Buy and eat some of the slightly tart oranges while you are there!

Really peaceful when not crowded. The island is a good size. If you like walking it's really a very nice stroll, with park like settings, flowers and if you visit at the right time , blooming trees. As you approach the end of the islet you will encounter the statue of Chairman Mao's head. Very impressive , each block cut... More
