A very well presented museum, filled with facts and photos. The virtual reality show is very good but - there were no labels/signs in English to help us understand the narrative.

Neither my wife or I have even seen even a photograph of a meteorite so we did not know what to expect. I guess it was not so great to see as it appears as a very big rock. But with the display and technical description and thinking of the journey it has made to arrive here I believe ti... More

I don't go to many museums but my friend took me here. It tells the story of a huge meteor hit in Jilin. It is done very well. There are good graphics, movie and sound effects. .

I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the crazy 80RMB entrance price! Half an hour is enough to visit the whole exibition. The planetarium show is nice and clear also to non-chinese speakers. The meteorites are very cool and it's great that you can even touch one of them and take pictures with it. Definitely worth a... More

The exhibits in the entrance hall are free and well presented with bilingual signs. The exhibition on aluminium artwork was particularly good. The main event however is the meteorite hall where you are shown the history of the largest modern meteorite shower to hit China. The video show is very good and does not need an English soundtrack as the... More

I worked in Jilin for a month several years ago, and learning of this museum decided to visit. I remember the entrance costing only pennies of UK money, or possibly even free, and the main section of the museum was free. Pictures and posters of space related artifacts including meteorites, almost every sign written in Chinese. This section of the... More
