Stayed in Batchelor the night before and visited all the major attractions of this wonderful area in about 5 hours, lovely waterfalls, paces to swim and good café at Wangi falls. Highly recommended for families too. Must go again !!!

Got there early which would recommend on a long weekend. Litchfield is an amazing place so close to Darwin but in a world of its own. Anyone visiting the NT must go, pack a picnic and spend the day swimming in fresh water swimming holes...More

It was still wet season, so some areas were closed. What we did see was well worth it. Starting at the termite mounds and ending up at Wangi Falls, it had some beautiful falls and lookout areas. Well worth a visit! Would love to go...More

Termite mounds were disappointing. Wangi falls were really nice. Park area and BBQ facilities were well set out and quite nice. No swimming allowed.

We just went there a month ago with a tiny 2WD. Almost all roads are sealed. A 4WD would be advisable if you want to get into the Park from the north along Cox Peninsula Rd; but if as 99% of visitors you come through... More

For Litchfield it is an easy daily trip if you rent a car. For Jabiru and Katherine you may need three days, with one overnight in one of the two lodges in Jabiru or Yellow Water an one in Darwin. The distances are not... More
