We stopped at the town to have lunch at the Clubhouse which was great. We then had time for a quick walk along the main street. There was a great old fashioned lolly shop and also a fabulous store selling original Australian aboriginal art. There...More

We did walk around Tanunda, would have been so much nicer had it been less than 44C. Would have loved to have spent more time in town, however, with those winds from the Centre, was not happening. Tanunda is a beautiful town, lots of history,...More

In summer, when the mercury can rise toward 40 degrees by 3 pm, this makes a delightful early morning walk. Start by picking up a Town Walk brochure from the Visitor Centre and enjoy strolling past old mills, former carriage works, the old Post Office,...More

We loved Tanunda. It's just a small town but it's bustling and thriving and has such a friendly feel to it. It also has the advantage of being surrounded by interesting wineries just a very short drive away.

Tanunda has a great main street with many yummy eateries, pubs, ice cream shops, etc... and in general is just a lovely walk.

Old town but very little to see, even if it's a nice palce. Some old churches and a nice atmosphere.

being not a very long street a stroll along the the main street does not take to long, but some of the eateries may increase your waist line. loverly way to take in some of the history of the Barossa Valley, well worth it.

An easy stroll around town, visit Wohlers furniture and homeware store or the Sweet shop for a treat. The bakery offers wondrous delights or settle for an ice cream to enjoy on your walk. Many cafes and restaurants to choose from but please be warned...More

The main street is a lovely stroll and takes around 1 hour to do, not including stopping at shops of course. I loved Wholers and could have spent all day there.

We were actually staying in the town of Angaston but we did visit Tanunda numerous times due to the excellent restaurants & cafes. The quaint town is very easy to walk around as it's only small & on the flat. The town does have a...More
