Amzing rock formation

A short 15 minutes walk from Wave Rock on good walking paths. Good photographic spots, bring selfie stick if you go solo like me. The rock is exactly like the picture

We walked from Wave rock instead of driving there which was a good idea and not hard. Great scenery along the way

If you are going to walk the wave rock walk then you may as well take a look at hippos yawn! Love that this country has the most amazing geological sites.

Hippo Yawn is a short drive from Wave Rock or there is an easy walking track from the caravan park. This is worth a look if visiting Wave Rock. Car parking available.

After visiting the wave, you follow the trail that will you bring you up to Hippo's Yawn, or you take directly your car until the parking just in front :) The trail does not offer much interest except walking, and definitely not pleasing when you are attacked by flies

Don't make a special trip here, but worth a look if you have made the trip to wave rock. Bring the bug spray though!

If you visit Wave Rock, I would make the effort to walk here as well. It is a fairly easy walk from the Wave.

An amazing natural structure which was very welcome to shelter under on the scorching hot day we were there.

This is just a short walk from Wave Rock. There is a nice walking track through sparse bush, with some wild flowers. The rock formation is so aptly named as it looks just like a hippo.

It really does look like a Hippo yawning. Very impressive and a lovely, easy walk to see the cave. The site is easily accessed by people of all fitness levels.
