Right in the middle of town. If you're into bluegrass music you'll love it. If you're NOT.....GET INTO IT and see the impact this small town country boy had on the evolution of this music genre. Born just a few miles from Shelby.

Enjoyed our time visiting and learning more about Mr. Scruggs...his music has always been a part of my NC Heritage. This is a great little museum in the middle of a cute up and coming (again) downtown.

This is a great museum full of memorabilia and if you're a Scruggs fan, is well worth visiting. The museum volunteer was very knowledgeable and shared information with us as well. Some of the displays are interactive and fun. Great visit!

We actually got in free because there was a lightening strike recently and not all of the audio exhibits were functioning properly. Hubby is a big banjo/bluegrass fan and he said it would definitely be worth the admission cost (if we had to pay). I...More
