The Willard Byrd Course requires a distinctively different approach thanks to a constricting tree line, challenging greenside bunkering, and lakes ranging from 14-20 acres. Strategically placed tee shots are essential for successful play on Byrd's undulating greens of Champions Bermuda. A picturesque and scenic 18th hole between two beautiful ponds finishes the course at the Jones-Byrd Clubhouse. The course measures 6,740 yards from the blue tees; 6,251 yards from the white tees; 5,561 yards from the gold tees; and 4,621 yards from the red tees.

We golfed here yesterday and it is an amazing course. Well worth the money and plenty to see. There were a ton of birds and even a couple of gators along the way. I would recommend this course for sure.

The course was in fantastic shape after the hurricane. Greens were spot on, with very nice fairways. Hit a great stretch of weather. Clubhouse had any and everything a golfer would need. Would play here again and hit the other 2 courses they had to offer.

Since Maples was still closed we decided to go try Byrd..I found it to be more challenging for me then I remembered from our last vacation.it was almost dry enough to play and enjoy. Being a beginner I definitely had to try to figure things out. Overall a great course...hope it didn't get damaged too much by hurricane Matthew.... we'll... More

Course had been saturated with rain in the previous week but held up well despite the cart path only conditions. The greens on the Byrd Course are bent and although a little slow they rolled true. The course from the white tees is not overly long so there were easier shots to be had coming into the greens. Par threes... More

First time golfing Sea Trail Plantation. Enjoyed the course and the staff were friendly. However, the greens needed to be cut and rolled, they were very bumpy and unkempt. The traps were disgusting, there was almost no sand in them and it looked like, in most of them, that they were allowed to continually fill up with water, puddled up,... More

Dog Track! Aske to be paired up with a group a I hate to play a new course alone. Somehow tha never happened. Staff neglected to mention that green had been aerated when I booked. Heavily top dressed but uncut. Blotches of bermuda were 1/4" higher than the rest of the greens. No one mentioned pin placements at club house.... More

At Sea Trail you have three 18 hole golf courses to play. My favorite is the Byrd Course. Always well maintained with nice greens. Only knock on this course is the cart paths. They repaved the Jones course cart paths last summer. Let's hope they have budgeted some funds to do the Byrd Course this year.

We played the Byrd course as preparation for the World Amateur (a large golf tournament) and we thought that is was everything that was promised to us. The course was in nice shape, the price was superb, and the difficulty was easy-moderate. The course was pretty wet when we went but by the time we finished it was almost dry.... More

This is a beautiful course, particularly the opening holes. Some of the greens are large and tricky, but were in great shape given this time of the year. Lots of interesting water hazards. We played on Sunday, there was cart service, and the course was not crowded. A great experience.

We stayed at the resort for one week with golf planned most days. It is early in the season and clearly they are working hard at getting the courses ready for the busy times. The Byrd was weat, the Jones was great even though they are working as redoing the cart paths and the Maples is great for this time... More
