Never crowded; always pleasant. Walk along the Swannanoa River, behind the ball fields, past the stream. Sit, read or just "be" by the water - it's all good.

We took our dogs there for a walk and it was peaceful and they enjoyed the walk. There is a river that runs adjacent to it so we could check out the ponds and the river. Few people fishing and watch out for the geese.

My daughter just moved to east Asheville near Tunnel Road, and Warren Wilson trails are 5 minutes from her house. We went to one of the trailheads on the Friday night, and it was a nice little out and back on dirt paths for about...More

Good fishing and very nice, easy walking trail that follows along the Swannanoa River! The trailhead is at the west end of the park. Trail continues if you cross over the road to even better hiking with some swimming holes.

You can easily drive past this. There's just one small sign at the side of an assembly plant. Hidden behind are planty of facilities, walks and a good deal of parking. Good for some exercise and to watch the wildlife.

The park is a complex of picnic areas, kids’ playground, baseball/softball fields, walking trail and two large fishing ponds. Never crowded.

Great place to walk a dog ---- flat and just under one mile. Very clean and very friendly. Resident ducks and I believe a beautiful heron. Playground and picnic area and free parking. Easy to miss the entrance ----- behind an industrial park.

This is a widely known to the locals as Owen Park. There is quite a bit to do, biking, walking/running, trails, fishing, playground, and picnic areas. You can fish the river or the small lakes; however there is no swimming in the lake or boats!...More
