Cool shop with 2 stories. Downstairs is where the action is for kids and candy lovers! Must be careful down there, the candy is in barrels and you get a basket to put your selections in. My granddaughter had hers filled before I even knew...More

I guess Mast is a good place to shop—but it’s certainly a good place to browse! Great variety of goods: clothing, footwear, outdoor gear, candy. Also friendly and helpful staff. It’s a store, but it’s also a tourist attraction! Note: don’t expect the same kind...More

I always make a point to visit the Mast General Store when I travel to Waynesville, North Carolina because of my entry to my exit, I am taken back to a kinder gentler time when as a little girl, my mama would take me to...More

We stopped in Waynesville on the way to Louisville and stopped at The Mast Store and it was amazing. Almost anything you might want is there. "Bunches" of stuff I wanted as a kid plus almost any candy you could think of.

They have about everything that one might need. I buy my shoes, non-slip snow gear for shoes, and other things. If one likes candy, they have about any old time candy that some have forgot about. They are real friendly also.

What an intriguing store! I felt like stepping into the past, they have so many interesting items on display on top shelves. Like a mini museum without having to pay entry fees. We were amazed at their selection, good quality, fashionable, and prices were better...More

Loved this place. They have so many cool items and outdoor gear along with the candy. The store is 3 levels and is absolutely spectacular. Tons of staff around and the store is clean. You have to visit while in Waynesville.

If you have never visited one of the handful of Mast General Stores, it should be on the agenda for any visit to Waynesville. Occupying an old department store building on Main Street, this Mast has the creaky floors and a feeling that this is...More
