Great camping sites. Friendly helpful staff. Awesome place to unplug .Kayaking , hiking, camping, hiking and great mountain bike trails all available. If you are 62 or over ask about senior discounts. Camping is half price!
We stayed for 2 nights and loved the campgeound5. Spacious clean sites...... updated bathroom/showers...... friendly people at check-in and much more. Loved that the sites each had a ring fire pit with grill top and stand alone charcoal grill. We will be back!!!!
I have to say, that this is a beautiful park, they have outstanding trails. If you are a biker and love to ride. The bike trails are maintained. If you are visiting the area, and love to bike. AA plus..

These trails (about 20 miles worth) often double as walking trails as well. They are well maintained, interesting, and scenic, and convenient to Greensboro, Winston Salem and Boone. Not too challenging. Highly recommend. Post-hike dining recommendation: Amalfi's, on U.S. 421, Wilkesboro, about 15 miles away.
