What a great museum! The kids and adults stayed busy! Very hands on! They also have a pretend grocery store with checkout and a bistro with 'full' kitchen. We enjoyed seeing the grandchildren as chefs complete with high chef hats. They also made for excellent wait staff! Both of these are excellent for role playing. You can visit the museum,... More

We got a groupon, so the we enjoyed the value of that. The museum is pretty big and has a bunch of stuff for kids of all ages. I, personally, think that there should be museum staff throughout the building - we encountered a parent of four that spent 45 minutes on her phone while her kids destroyed the grocery... More

Our almost 2 year old boy and 3 year old girl loved this museum. We spent almost 2 hours here and only left because it was lunch and nap time. It's much bigger than it looks from the outside and there are too many different play areas for me to list here. We've been to several children's museums in various... More

A great little gem in downtown Wilmington, NC for family & kids to enjoy their afternoon...will expand their minds and leaving the kids with a desire to return.

We spent an hour or two here on a recent vacation. My 8 year old had fun in the art studio, but my 10 year old was starting to run out of possibilities pretty quick. The building the museum's in is pretty neat, though. If you have smaller kids, they'd probably enjoy this place for a few hours.

I visited this place and got a great deal on the tickets through Groupon. My kids (5 and 7) loved the place. It has lots of little activities for them to do and places to play. It does seem to be older and in need of some upgrades, but kids don't really care about that. They just want to play... More

The museum had several levels of activities and also an outside play area. Plenty of things to do to keep the kids occupied. Our favorite areas of play were the grocery store and the restaurant, always fun to play pretend. We also enjoyed creating our own art to take home, as it was watercolor painting day during our visit. We... More

A nice little children's play museum located in an old bldg constructed in the early 1800s. When we first went in, we did not think it had very much, but then realized that there is, not only the entrance floor, but also a lower level plus three upper levels. Each level is not very large, but there is certainly plenty... More

Last time I was here with the Grand kids was in 2012 and we loved it. Went back this past weekend and found it to be really dirty and unkempt. Many of the displays were broken. It really needs to be renovated. It was more like a daycare facility then a museum. It was also so overpriced. $9 per ticket... More

My husband and I went to the beach. He had to work during the day and it was raining. I heard from another mom this was a good place to go with babies. My daughter is 8 months old and she was able to crawl all over the 4 and under room. They had toys age appropriate. We hung out... More
