Railroad buffs will love this museum. It has operating layouts, a caboose, a steam engine and a box car. This was a return visit and is highly recommended.

While visiting downtown Wilmington we happened across this museum and visited. It does not have many real locomotives, but was very interesting and it has a fabulous model train exhibit. It alone is worth the admission price.

Staff was extremely helpful and pointed out several points of interest on the locomotives and caboose outside the museum.

Bit pricey for admission. Some displays were not working inside building. Good historical content with a model train lovers paradise.

I'm sure if you contact the museum they could give you the info you need. However, the museum is not that large and 150 students at one time may be very chaotic.
