Great way to learn the area

Took the horse drawn tour when I first moved to wilmington to learn more about the area. I have gone back several times in the last two years since they change up the route.

Took the guided tour and really enjoyed the drivers narration. A must do when you visit to get a good overview of areas to re-visit on foot.

Wilmington is a nice place to walk. We spent 90% of our trip on foot enjoying the architecture of the historic district along with shops, restaurants and breweries along the way. Quite a charming town.

Do take the trolley ride and do it right off the bat, as soon as you get there, to get a feel of the place. Wilmington Trolley Co., 45-min. guided tour leaves at the top of the hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Leaves from 101 Water St., near the intersection of Dock and Water. $11, tickets available on... Loved seeing all the old buildings and the great architecture. There was one shop in an old bank and you could walk into the vault!

This was our second visit to Wilmington in the past 5 years and this time we found more historical sites that we missed on the first trip. We do believe you could spend a couple of days visiting the beautiful old homes, churches, businesses, etc in this area. We definitely recommend making the trip to check out the sites.

Wilmington has a quaint historic district that is very nice to walk through. It also has a beautiful riverfront area with a great Boardwalk and lots of restaurants, shops and people watching. Several new microbreweries have opened in the last year. I highly recommend a guided walking tour with Lori of Tour Old Wilmington. She is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable...a... More

My husband and I went to the historic district in Wilmington, North Carolina and had a very good time! We went on the river walk, went on the Wilmington water tour, and to dinner at Elijah's afterwards!

A beautiful place where just about every building has historical significance. Go on a ghost tour for some added fun and another perspective of the city.
