While traveling in Wilmington, you simply must go to the downtown area and visit the Riverwalk. They have recently finished a lot of rennovations to it and it is wonderful. There is plenty to see and do, including cool shops and tasty food.

A board walk about 2 miles long offers a leisuraly stroll along the water front of historic Wilmington, NC. Plenty of benches to sit and rest, access to restaraunts and shops. Worth the time.

Very nice area to go on a good walk anytime. There many restaurants and shops along the way. Several boating companies have tours along the river. There is also a free boat ride to go across the river to the Battleship North Carolina, highly recommended.

Even in the rain~ the Riverwalk is always one of my favorites! Great variety of shops & eats ~ and sightseeing opportunities.

This is a nice walk to see the river and fun shops and stalls along the way. it's an easy flat walk with a good view of the Battleship North Carolina. and nice little places to stop and eat in the area.

The Riverwalk is appx. one mile long. It has benches and areas you can eat at.. Lots of Restaurants available. Nice scenic walkway where you decide your pace.
