We always bring visiting family to Old Salem - it's such a unique place. Historical setting and buildings, interesting gift shops and a Moravian bakery with cookies and sugar cake! On a pleasant day it's a great area to walk around and you don't have...More

What a wonderful place to visit, for the day or just a few hours. The people working and volunteering are just great knew so much about the local history and many were dressed period costumes. Several nice places to eat. Loved the bakery! Not far...More

This has been a tradition that I starred with my daughter. Arrive early as it gets packed pretty quickly. The photo op with Santa depends upon how patient the photographer is with children. A suggestion I would have would be to include food allergy children...More

We did not purchase tickets to go inside buildings. It was nice enough simply to walk around and read the plaques on each building. Plenty of shade so it was comfortable.

Nice interesting way to spend a day or 1/2 a day going from exhibit to exhibit and talking with the living history actors found inside the exhibit buildings. Street is somewhat steep if the humidity is high or you, like me are older, so figure...More

We received a veterans discount which saved us $3 off each 2 day pass to all of the museums. We took our time didn't get to see all of the open buildings but did see most. The people there are dressed in period attire and...More

We loved it. The combination of historic buildings, costumed and knowledgeable enactors and the peaceful surroundings are a winner. We had a great time going in and out of different locations (don't miss the single men's home) and learning about the community.
