I play Hawktree 2-3 times each year, and in my opinion, it is the best course in North Dakota. A nicely manicured and challenging course (bring plenty of golf balls if you struggle to hit the ball straight). Pleasant clubhouse staff as well.

I really enjoy this course and clubhouse, I play every year at our annual golf tournament. I think the staff is great and the course is always in great shape.

The course is well maintained and provides many beautiful views. It uses the coulees and the natural terrain to create an interesting target style course. Fairways vary from wide to narrow, steep to flat. The greens also vary in size. What I disliked most were the fact that: the course was not well signed making getting around slower. In fact,... The golf course and the staff are exceptional. Our issue is that if you are new to the course, it is really difficult to get around the Tee Boxes. The signage for the Tee boxes are unique but difficult to read and the cart paths are not labeled very well. The course is beautiful and the round was fabulous. I... More

Played early and foursome ahead was very friendly to let us play through. Staff was very friendly too. All of them. Would like to see bottle openers attached to cart coolers. We couldn't open the beers ! Signage on a few holes could be better. Hold #s would be great on all holes. Not a big fan of the barbed... More

Played this course on a Monday afternoon on the heels of a charity tournament. The course was well maintained and no two holes are the same. From the tips this would be a challenge for anyone. Enjoyed the afternoon and would recommend it but the $103.00 green fee may be a little steep for the area.

If you can drop $100 on a round of golf this is a great place to do it. Very pretty area three miles north of Bismarck. It is a great challenge.

The course itself is very nice, but does need more signage. As for the staff and maintenance people, it was the worst service imaginable. They hadn't updated their web page and had old prices, which we were told included carts. Surprise, we were charged an extra $20 for carts! We ran into two issues on the course where we had... More

We enjoyed playing here and it is very reminiscent of a links course in Scotland. We were, however, disappointed with the skimpy and confusing signage. It is too easy to take a wrong turn from a green to the next tee. Given the cost of playing here and the course's high quality, they could have much better signage and yardage... More

I have heard a great deal about Hawktree but never had a chance to play it. I had my chance on a recent trip to Bismarck. It it an absolutely beautiful course. Well maintained and challenging. Great place to golf
