A very nice art collection, not just Western art as you typically see. A pleasant way to spend a couple of hours

Fargo does not have the reputation it deserves and it's Old Broadway area which, this museum is very close to is part of the reason that most people should rethink their opinion of Fargo. Although Fargo seems to have the reputation for being a college town or a place for Canadians to shop this vibrant little city has a very... More

You will be blown away by the collection of contemporary art, mostly by Plains artists, and the way it is displayed. The Museum also has activities, and we were fortunate to visit on a free Saturday with children's art classes. This is a gem.

Located in downtown Fargo, the PAM is a cheap, easy, and quick way to spend a few hours. They participate in the Free Museum Thursday program so if you can schedule a visit on a third Thursday of a month, you'll be in for free! Their gala (usually in May) is well worth the cash you'll pay to go.

I was very impressed with this museum. It is housed downtown in a converted brick factory building and their use of space is enviable. They have been running a themed collection centering on the oil boom--it was creative, inciteful and gutsy. Not what one might expect with ND trying to become the new oil capital. Anyone who thinks Fargo is... More

We expected more mixed art than is here. If you like modern art, this is the place for you. We like some modern art but we were expecting some works of art that featured the plains and were perhaps from the late 19th or early 20th century--alas, not here. They do a very good job of explaining the art.

This is a very nice museum for as small a city as Fargo is. Excellent exhibit of some of the best pieces in their collection on the 1st floor when I visited. A very thought-provoking exhibit on floors 2 and 3 of the gas/oil boom in the area from artists' points-of-view. Peaceful museum for reflection.

This is a nice museum for this size of city. I was surprised to see two artists I recognized represented in the collection. There is a nice variety in the permanent collection. Won't take more than a hour to see it all (in my opinion). Professionally maintained.
