The Fargo Theatre is a real gem and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1926, in the Art Deco style, and refurbished in 1999, it is a great asset to Fargo's down town. Our large group visited it and really enjoyed not only hearing about it's history, but having an organ recital on their old Wurlitzer... More

A fixture in an up and coming downtown Fargo, the theatre adds character to the historic main street and is only one of many classic neon signs you'll find. Its worth seeing day and night.

The seats are comfortable. They have an old Wurlitzer in perfect working order that is played regularly. They feature movies that are often overlooked by the masses and have an annual Silent Movie night. They also feature local talent. The accoustics are quite nice. This is a place my grandparents would have enjoyed and it is still in wonderful condition.

I stopped off at the historic Fargo Theater to see a movie while on a trip and discovered they were having a film festival. This theater reminds me of the historic Jefferson Theater we have in Beaumont, Texas. If your looking for the plush seats and modern technology of the big megaplex theaters, this is not the place for you,... More

It's an old timey theatre that reminds you why they "don't make them like they used to" anymore. Small theatre, small wooden seats, no cup holders that I recall. It feels like you're watching a movie in the 50s, and I'm not so sure that's a good thing. The sign out front is fun.

The Fargo Theatre is a local nonprofit theater that shows art films as well as live talent shows. The building is the original architecture with art deco design. Located in downtown Fargo, there are restaurants and bars in close proxmity for dinner and a movie. It's a welcome change from the multiplex theaters. Unique is how I would describe the... More

We absolutely loved visiting the Theatre. I had to go there because it is the location where Lee Corso exited the building with a baby bison during the College Gameday filming a few years ago. We found so much more there to enjoy. It is like a little time capsule. The Theatre is celebrating their 90th birthday this year. There... More

We love going here. It always reminds me of when I was younger going to the movies. We have seen lots of movies there. Great atmosphere.
