This campground has first-come first-served sites and offers both electric/water hookups for $25 per night and non-hookup sites for $17 per night. Every site has a picnic table and a fire ring. This campground is pet-friendly. The pads in the non-hookup loop (we were in Fishing Point) are grassy and not entirely level, but easily workable with a few blocks.... More

This state park is really pretty. It's right at the water and has a huge number of sites. Though the sites are fairly open and visible to each other they are nice nonetheless. Water and electricity at each site and a clearly assigned parking spot. The facilities - restroom/showers, or comfort stations as they are referred to, are spotless and... More

This was our first stop in our North Dakota journey. We were more than impressed. We rented the cabin; and it was clean and was far beyond our expectations of "rustic" (as it had electricity; including a/c). The sites were clean and very large. We loved the facilities (bathrooms, showers); playground was awesome. The beach area was very well maintained... More

A beautiful park. Always very well mowed. The restrooms are always clean. It is a great place to camp and a wonderful view of the big lake.

I came to this park to see/hike the western terminus of the North Country National Scenic Trail. The trail was very nice, unfortunately I could not hike the entire stretch that exists in the park as I was short on time. Very beautiful views of Lake Sakakawea.
