The stay was just what my family needed. The area is breathtaking, calm and energizing.
The ranchhand stay is an older space but very clean and comfortable with sweet country touches. Reminded me much of my grandmas farm house.
Horse ride was fantastic and would recommend to everyone. I’m not the most experienced of riders but I felt very relaxed. I wished I had booked longer a than two ride.
Mu husband fly fished some amazing rivers and we toured some local attractions.
Kate and her family were helpful and friendly and most welcoming. I have recommended this stay to all my family and friends.
I hope to be back before summers end.

Loved it! Kate was an incredible guide and you can really tell she loves what she does. First time Horseback riders but we had an amazing time and the horses are incredibly well trained. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for some seriously stunning views and peaceful experience. We will be coming again and hoping to stay at their ranch next time!

If you want a totally awesome getaway with the best views and perfect piece and quiet, try the stucco cabin or even better the log cabin.
The host family, Kate, Dan, Puff, Bri, Paige, and the boys will welcome you with open arms. We come back every year and will as long as we are able.

Stayed at the stucco house for a week while fishing in the area, and what an experience! Such hospitality from Kate, Dan and Puff! My partner also thoroughly enjoyed a day of horseback riding with Kate.

We rode with Kate as our guide on Haig Lake Trail at Castle Mountain Resort. Kate was friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable. She answered all our horse questions and was happy to tell us about her horses. Her horses were friendly and fun to be around, you can tell they are very loved and cared for. Our kiddo is 10 years old, who did great on the trip. Kate was encouraging and really took care on the trail to make sure everyone was doing well.

If you want a real getaway, and authentic riding experience, this is the place to be. We rented the cabin on the ranch, which is quite nostalgic but perfectly kitted out. The main draw for us was the riding, and it was great to just go out with Kate who was so enthusiastic about her part of the world. I didn't want to leave. Really well cared for horses. Of course we should mention Richard, who took us out one day, and Kate's mum and dad who were so welcoming, you felt like family.

There are other things to do in the area, although we decided to stock up and just hideout there, away from everything for a few days.

Fabulous wildlife to be seen. I will definitely be back!

We werena group of inexperienced riders, Kate and Richard made us all comfortable and were sure to tell us about the personalities of each horse. They matched personalities with each person in our group and took the time to adjust stirrups to be sure everyone was comfortable. Open trails and pure beauty. We had a great time (despite the rain). Thank you for your hospitality!

One of the, if not the, most beautiful ranches in Canada. South West Alberta, along the eastern slope of the Rockies, is a paradise few are aware of. It rivals anything you will find in Montana, Colorado and Utah without a doubt.....and it is right here in Canada. I would highly recommend staying and riding at Centre Peak High Country Adventures. You will not be disappointed. Kate, Dan and Puff are the nicest people you could ever meet and they make you feel like part of the family. We look forward to meeting Richard on our next visit. If you are looking for a western paradise, and a story book Canadian experience, this is it!

It was the best trail ride in my life. My Mother and me enjoyed it very much. Great horses and we were welcomed warmly. Kate explained us a lot about the animals and their farm. We saw deers, squirrels, cows and mountain sheep, it was really amazing! It was very personal and we had a free hand with the well trained horses there was a wonderful view. We went on a three our trail ride through Kate familys farmland crossed little creeks, went through bushes and hills. Because I‘m an experienced rider I could even go faster in gallopp. It was really a great experience, I can recommend it absolutely..fantastic thank you very much Kate!
