About
Our flightseeing tours are a wonderful way to see the wilderness and the beautiful Lakes District. Our floatplane flights are a great experience especially for those who have never been in a small plane. We own and operate one of Canada's most famous airplanes...the Dehavilland Beaver, come see for yourself and take a tour through historic areas and see BC's largest provincial park, Tweedsmuir!

Lakes District Air And Fishing flew our crew of 4 friends in to Tesla Lake Lodge in July 2024 for 4 days and nights of great adventure. The sightseeing was spectacular on the flights in and out and the facilities were all we could hope for. The lodge was clean, comfortable and well appointed for all of our needs. The boats were available for our excursions on Tesla Lake and nearby Wahla Lake, accessed by a clear trail and a 20 minute hike. We found fish in both lakes and several were remarkable for their size! We saw wildlife from the plane and many species of birds near the lodge and on the lakes. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone that appreciates wilderness adventure from a comfortable base. I will be back!

Visited Tesla Lake July 8th to 12th with a group of 4. Flight in and out was spectacular. Landed 48 nice Rainbows the largest about 10 pounds. I've stayed in several fly in fishing locations over the years and this is the nicest set up I've experienced. Very well maintained with all the comforts of home. Plenty of wildlife in the area including Mr. Bear so be bear smart!!! The boats are well maintained and can get you back to the cabin in short order if the weather turns ugly. Tons of fun and plan to head back in before too long. Nick runs a good show and the entire trip was very impressive 👍

We hired Lakes Districts Air to whisk us away on our wedding day for photos! The communication with Nick was fantastic he responded quickly and worked within our tight timeline on our wedding day! Which really put us at ease trying to organize our big day.
Brian was our pilot that day and we dubbed him "butter brian" for his ultra smooth landings and takeoffs.
Nick and Brian even had some back up locations if our requested lake was too windy.
Had a fantastic flight already looking at their camping / fishing packages for future adventures.

My husband and I celebrated our 1rst wedding anniversary up at tesla lake. It was 4 days of fishing, skinny dipping and exploring. The lodge is beautiful with everything you could need. The lakes are full of a fish. We were very inexperienced and able to catch some really nice ones! I would reccomded boating to crystal lake, or the 'Northern Caribbean' as I called it, green water and mountians all around. Just amazing. To have all those lakes, mountians and beaches all to ourselves was so perfect. Nick and Brian were fantastic second time flying with them and won't be the last!

We planned the trip of a lifetime and Lakes District Air provided it perfectly. Tesla Lake fishing lodge was the focal point of our trip to Canada. Everything else fell in to place around it. The Cabin was very remote, just what we had been searching for. Not a soul to be seen for our entire time at the cabin as Tesla lake is virtually impossible to get to other than by floatplane. The cabin was very comfortable and we spent many hours just staring out at the lake or exploring the lake in the boats provided. Most people come to Tesla Lake to fish, we came to enjoy the remote location and solitude and we got everything we could possibly have hoped for. If you want to experience real escapism Lake District Air's Tesla Lake cabin is just perfect.

Picturesque wilderness fishing that leaves you breathless. The aerial views from the Beaver float plane are remarkable, especially going to-and-from the lodge to the rivers. We spent two nights at the lodge, and fished for Coho two out of the three days. The Coho fishing was top shelf. The lodge is also beautiful and has all the amenities required for a trip of this nature. Nick is a great guide and host and will make sure your experience is awesome. If you are looking for remoteness, great fishing and beautiful scenery, this is your place.

Just got back from Tesla (our second time there} and booked another week for next year. This is a magic place. Everything you could possibly need is provided at their beautiful lodge. The scenery is fantastic and the fishing is great. Our host Nick has worked very hard to ensure that his clients are provided with an experience they will not forget. The remoteness of the lakes and the beauty of the landscape is second to none. Thanks Nick.

Owners Nick and Mary are amazing hosts. Our trip to Tesla was breathtaking. Nick flew us in the beaver. Beautiful scenery and enjoyed the float plane ride. The lodge is well appointed and had everything for a memorable stay. We had one windy day so hiked up to Walla lake which was very scenic.
